Students can only miss two classes or by State Law will have to redo the whole class at their expense.
Please begin the registration process early to ensure entry into our class. Remember, the student must turn 16 years of age prior to the last class. No exceptions to this state ruling.
Our classes consists of 30 hours of classroom
- 10 hours of driving
- 6 hours of in the car observation
- This to be completed in 7 1/2 weeks
Parents/guardians (with a NH driver's license) are required by the state to complete
40 hours of driving time (including10 night hours) with their child to be documented in a log version - of date, start and stop time, highway or in town driving. this will be transferred to a log given in the first class or you may get your log at your local DMV. Also, parents can start driving with their child after the child turns 15 1/2 years old.
We are available for driving days/nights 7 days a week. Private Driving lessons are also offered.
When driving with a Parent or Guardian, the teen driver needs to have their birth certificate or official NH Identification card on them at all times and no crossing state lines.
Driving appointments are made by the student with the instructor weekly. If you make an appointment to drive and are not present when the instructor arrives, there will be a $40 charge. We require 24 hours notice for canceling a scheduled appointment. If you have made an appointment and cannot cancel within the 24 hour time period, you can fill in the appointment with another student in the class without being charged.
The instructor will be available for driving days/ evenings 7 days a week around the students schedules. If the student has free time during the school day, 2 hours minimum, then the instructor can be scheduled for driving instruction during this time. Please contact the instructor and make the necessary arrangements.
The driving instructor will pick up the student from their home, or other pre-arranged location, and drop them off either at home or other pre-arranged location for their driving time. The parent is responsible for bringing and picking up the student for their class times ON TIME.
Students may choose to drive with their own music on. We would rather have the student get used to driving with some of the distractions of daily life. The only thing we ask for is that the music is appropriate and playing at a reasonable level.
When you sign up for one of our classes, there will be a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $50 required to hold your spot (It can carry over to another class with us). Once you have been notified of a class schedule, there will be a registration night where only ONE parent NO students come. This night will be for an orientation to the school, the rules and regulations for obtaining a drivers license, and to meet the driving instructor that will be working with the students. This meeting will occur in the month prior to the classes, and will usually fall on a
Saturday night. At this time you will need to show us a birth certificate to verify all information and the balance of the tuition will be due.
E-mail is the best method for communicating with us, as our schedules are filled with driving and classes, in most cases we are unable to return phone calls immediately.
